These are sock blockers!
Once I have completed crocheting a pair of socks to make them look like a professional-looking piece of perfection, (LOL) I will block them into shape. Blocking can be done with water, steam or heat from an iron. I like to block using lukewarm water and air drying. I have read many opinions on blocking acrylic yarn. Some state there is no need but I agree with those that state it gives your project a nicer finished look. Never use heat from an iron on acrylic yarn because it will go very limp or worse melt!
